Meet Our Teachers

Angela King

I have worked as a paraprofessional and teacher in preschool classrooms for the past 15 years.  I am so excited to be starting our sixth year in this location.  I have two children, Beka will be a sophomore at Bethel University this fall and Matthew will be a junior at Lakeland Christian Academy

Audrey Dempsey

I have worked in a preschool classroom for the past 27 years and love it!  I have two daughters Beth (married to Nick) and Rachel.  Beth and Nick have two boys, Easton, Cole, and a little girl, Hadley.  I love spending time with them!

Elise Swain

 I enjoyed working in the 2’s Playgroup last year and am eager to be in the PM Class on Wednesdays and the 2’s Playgroup on Fridays.  I am a homeschooled freshman and love finding ways to help in our community.  I often babysit my cousins, teach Sunday school and work at a camp over the summers.

Brenda Weaver

I am happy to be able to volunteer in the office and as an extra pair of hands again this year!  It’s exciting to hear the kids laughing and learning.  I have been married to Dane for 48 years and have two children, Greg, who lives in Indianapolis, and Brittany Hartman (married to Travis) and two grandchildren, Micah (16) and Kyleigh (13).

Jaxon Zastrow

I have always dreamed of opportunities to work with kids. I know Mrs. Dempsey through our church and had the opportunity to help in the 2's and 3's  and 4’s and 5’s Sunday School classes.  After trying that out, I'm excited to be able to help with learning centers on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings this year.  I am 19 and live at home with my parents and brother.  While living in Illinois, I volunteered at Sunshine Preschool/Hope Christian Academy at Broadway Christian Church. I especially enjoyed working with the 4’s and introducing the letter/number of the week by making laminated visuals. I also spent a lot of time interacting on the playground with the students. This is where my love for Christian preschool began.
